It has been nearly more than 4 decades ago that Sikh citizens dreamt of establishing educational institute Guru Gobind Singh foundation for Nashik city. I still recollect the day when late S. Dewan Singh Bagga and Avtar Singh Nirh along with and members from Aurangabad had visited Nashik for enrolling members to establish Guru Tej Bahadur ji school in Aurangabad , During meeting held in Seble hotel along with Late S Amrik Singh , late S Indersingh seble,Late S Balwant Singh Chhabra, Late S Balwant Singh Bagga and myself we all were guided and motivated of sowing to start Guru Gobind Singh Foundation in Nashik. On a humble note, The foundation stone was laid in 1978 with the starting of Guru Gobind Singh Public School with 9 students today our strength is 6500 students pursuing their UG(Degree), Schoolings, Diploma and in our 12 acres campus donated by Sikh members of Nashik to the Foundation. Foundation is continuously trying to cope up with changing environment and has taken few important steps like association with SIEMENS, BOSCH ,SATCOM for imparting knowledge to students on practical aspects of industry, at same time has invested in MECHATRONICS lab set up from SIEMENS , CNC tech center ,recently we have signed MOU with CISCO networking ,AWS academy,Microchip, Blueprism and Red-Hat Academy for Tech center in our College. These initiatives are taken with a view to impart latest skills and knowledge to make our engineering students globally industry competent. Foundation has also initiated steps to build a culture of entrepreneurship in students and has implemented schemes like PMKVY, Entrepreneurship Development program, Automobile training center and so on...
The objective of this skill certification scheme is to enable our youth to take up industry relevant skill training. GGSF has ensured quality education at an affordable price and has also supported economically poor students by providing them free education. Foundation has followed preaching’s of Guru Nanak Devji by following principles of admitting students without considering their caste/religion to which they belong. This accreditations of our Engineering and Polytechnic institutes has raised the bar of expectations from all the stakeholders and GGSF will take all possible steps to ensure we continue to work in the journey of excellence. We have a long way to go to set a benchmark in the education field. Our future plan also includes setting of Artificial intelligence, augmented reality and virtual labs, we also plan to have a dedicated sports complex with the latest track and related facilities. This has been possible by whole hearted sincere efforts and support of all Sikh community in general and Members of GGSF in particular, who have time and again supported the Foundation by generously donating to Guru Gobind Singh foundation for the Nobel cause of imparting quality education. I would like to mention special thanks to all members for their support, financially and by providing equipments and machineries free of cost as required by institutes.
